The Apple Martini, or appletini, is a little sweet, a little sour and absolutely delicious! Made with a few simple ingredients, this easy vodka cocktail recipe is ideal for parties, showers, or any occasion where you need a refreshing and pretty drink!

What happens when you swap out the vermouth in a classic vodka martini for a fruit liqueur? An incredible variety of deliciously simple vodka cocktails like the key lime martini, cosmopolitan, Vodka sour, and this sour apple martini.

Bursting with a crisp green apple flavor, this drink combines vodka with sour apple schnapps - a little simple syrup and a dash of lemon juice round out the flavors for a crisp, clean, and refreshing cocktail you can serve year-round!

Ingredients

  • Sour apple schnapps
  • lemon juice
  • simple syrup - optional
  • apple for garnish - optional

Instructions

  1. Combine the vodka, sour apple schnapps, lemon juice and simple syrup in a cocktail shaker.
  2. Add ice.
  3. Shake the cocktail for 30 seconds.
  4. Pour into a chilled martini glass and garnish with slices of green apple if desired.

Tips

  • This cocktail is perfect for parties! You can mix up the cocktail in a pitcher, refrigerate and then serve! Since you won't be shaking the cocktail, add ½ oz of water per serving so the drink is properly balanced!
  • Depending upon the brand of schnapps you use you may not need any simple syrup. Before making the cocktail, taste the schnapps and adjust the simple syrup to your taste!

Variations

  • Caramel Apple Martini - use caramel flavored vodka and substitute demerara syrup for the simple syrup.
  • Dry Apple Martini - substitute calvados for the apple schnapps.
  • Cinnamon Apple Martini - Substitute cinnamon syrup for the simple syrup.
  • Apple Cider Martini - Substitute apple schnapps for the sour apple schnapps, add 1 oz. of apple cider and omit the simple syrup.

  • 1 ½ oz. vodka
  • 1 oz. sour apple schnapps
  • ½ oz. simple syrup
  • ¼ oz. lemon juice
  • 1 granny smith apple optional garnish

Instructions

  • Combine the vodka, schnapps, simple syrup and lemon juice in a cocktail shaker.

  • Strain into a chilled martini glass and garnish with apple slices if desired.
