Chambord Cocktail

Jump to Recipe Print Recipe

Sweet, tart and juicy, this Chambord Cocktail is a gorgeously sippable before dinner drink!

Chambord is one of my favorite cocktail ingredients to work with and this Chambord Cocktail highlights everything I love about this liqueur!

Low alcohol cocktails are my latest passion/obsession.  From the uber easy Adonis Cocktail to the heftier Bourbon Amaretto Cocktail,, these lower ABV drinks have amazing flavor without the punch of their higher octane counterparts.

My newest addition to the collection, this Chambord Cocktail bursts with rich, deep and fruity flavors with just enough bitterness (from the Compari) to keep your taste buds dancing!

Not to mention that it's a gorgeous color!!!

Ingredients you need:

  • Compari
  • fresh lime juice
  • Chambord

Did I mention that this cocktail was also incredibly easy to make?

A little bit about Chambord

Is Chambord a wine?

Chambord is a liqueur made from red and black raspberries, vanilla, citrus peel, honey, and cognac. Although it contains cognac, it has a   relatively low ABV of 16.5%

What do you drink Chambord with?

Try it with champagne in a Kir Royal, or with white wine in a Kir. Chambord pairs well with a huge variety of spirits including gin, vodka and bourbon!

Should you refrigerate Chambord?

There is no need to refrigerate chambord.

How to make a Chambord Cocktail:

Step #1: Combine all the ingredients in a cocktail shaker with ice and shake!

Step #2: Strain into a chilled cocktail glass and serve.

I had never heard of Chambord and usually prefer my cocktails to be more on the potent side. But, since this is A Communal Table, I tested it out. It is a great addition to the cocktail repertoire, especially for guests who want to partake but don't want a headache the next day.

So glad you enjoyed the cocktail! I love potent cocktails but sometimes it's nice to have one that's a little lighter! Perfect for summer!
