Ingredients

  • 1 cup quick one minute oatmeal
  • 1 ¾ cups water
  • ½ teaspoon apple pie or pumpkin pie spice
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 1 orange peeled, segmented and cut into ½ inch pieces
  • ¼ cup chopped dates
  • 2 Tablespoons sliced almonds toasted
  • 1 Tablespoon orange blossom honey

Instructions

  • Bring the water to a boil in a medium saucepan. Add the oats and the apple or pumpkin pie spice. Cook for approximately 1 minute over medium high heat, stirring occasionally.
  • Remove from heat and diviide equally between two bowls.
  • Top with the orange segments, dates, sliced almonds and a drizzle of honey if desired.
